ReplyDeleteI think this is a great idea for busy parents or anyone wanting their student to receive help or more instruction on certain topics. Your plan looks great.
ReplyDeleteGreat study and plan for action research! We had a similar program at our sister campus and it worked great! The parents and students were both constantly informed and the parents had access to grades, absence and behavioral reports. Students were able to view homework assignments and tutorial notes and video. Awesome resource! Good luck!

I miss having a website!! Will this be a website for your class? Does your school not have teacher websites for you? Do you have a large number of parents with Internet access?
ReplyDeleteLooks like this will be a great communication tool for all involved! Curious too.. does your district/campus not have a website already? What grade levels will you be targeting? Our district website has a feature that parents and students can register with and see more information and comment on blogs. That might be something to consider. You possibly could set up your surveys and post to your site. My principal has done this for us as well as for the students. You can only take the survey if you log into the webpage.

This is very interesting. I plan to do the very same thing as a project for one of my teachers in my internship plan. I will be using something like Schoology as the online platform. We do not have a teacher web page provided by our county and are restricted in our use of social networks such as Facebook. I am curious. Could you please explain a little more how you are going to do your data collections? What is the source for your pre and post data? It will be fun watching your research progress!! Good Luck.

DeleteThe current school that I am working at in Arizona is not very web-proactive. It is strange having recently moved from Texas which is really pushing students, parents, and of course teachers to use the web as a learning and correspondence tool. Good luck with your research!
